Victim In Wheelchair Named In Fatal Hit-And-Run: Philadelphia Police (Update)

The woman struck hard enough that the wheelchair she was in shattered to pieces during a fatal hit-and-run crash was identified, according to police.

Sharell Holliday, of the 2500 block of North 32nd Street, was killed in the crash that happened in the 2200 block of Reservoir Drive, the Philadelphia Police Department said on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The crash happened at 1:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, according to police.

Holliday, who was reported to be in a wheelchair, was struck with enough force to throw her across the road and shatter her wheelchair into multiple pieces, Daily Voice reported in a prior story on the incident.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by Philadelphia Fire Department Medic 25, according to police.

The vehicle that struck Holliday is believed to be silver in color, police said. Its direction of travel at the time of the crash is unknown.
